"First of all, I'm one of those customers you don't want to work with and I have called Jay back at least 6 times with questions regarding the yard. Each time, he shows up with a smile on his face. I can't recommend this guy enough. I highly doubt any negative reviews are even true reviews. We had used a landscaper many years before and were never satisfied with their work. We brought Jay and his crew in and they not only did the job slightly less than the first company, they put in 1/3 more plant material, had to rip-out the flagstone patio and front walkway that the old company put in and re-landscape with a totally new irrigation system in our yard. The joints on our flagstone patio are now so tight, it is obvious how much care and time Jay and his crew puts into their work. Jay even removed 6 of the flagstone pieces after they were in concrete because I didn't like the colors of those stones. I wish now that I hadn't been so picky because the beauty of our patio is the irregular colors in the stones. He said he was happy to do it at his expense and he did. His design was awesome. It was far beyond what we could have imagined and several of our friends have now used him. All I can say is, meet Jay and make your own decision."

"Jay and his team are fantastic!! I highly recommend M J Newell Landscape and Maintenance for any size project and for regular maintenance. I interviewed over 10 landscapers for our challenging property. Most had no vision or plan - mainly told us it would cost a lot and would be difficult. Jay was excited by our property and made us excited about what could be done, He invested hours of time talking about what we wanted and had creative, practical, and affordable ideas. Through no fault of Jay's, the project ran into unforeseeable problems (e.g. low water pressure from the county) which could have destroyed other landscapers and/or us, but Jay is a relentless optimist and problem-solver, and found solutions for every challenge. What was a concrete slab and very sloped huge dirt patch are now a beautiful flagstone patio and gorgeous garden with flowers, ferns, grasses, trees, fruits, and vegetables. The crew also installed a pump, irrigation system, walkways, and fences. The work was done ahead of schedule and within budget. Jay supervised the project every day - and the foreman, Augustine, and his crew were extremely hard working, friendly, polite, and tidy --- cleaned up every night.
We continue to use Jay's crew for regular maintenance - and they do an outstanding and efficient job of keeping the project they created looking great."
